Welcome To

Portola Valley

A rural enclave, Portola Valley commands exquisite views and 1900 acres of permanent open space amid the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Welcome to Portola Valley

Large, beautiful homes enjoy easy access to 36 miles of paths for hikers, bicyclists, runners, and equestrians. The Windy Hill Open Space Preserve is a favorite retreat of residents and the town's landmark. A community hall, library, and recreational fields host sports, art exhibits, and book readings and a weekly farmer's market. Portola Valley also is home to Woodside Priory, an outstanding independent, co-educational Benedictine college preparatory school set on 60 acres.

One of Portola Valley's most beloved neighborhoods is Ladera. In addition to beautiful homes, Ladera offers its own recreation center with a pool and tennis court and a great shopping center.

Grocery shopping is an elevated experience in Portola Valley with two incredible, family-owned markets. Bianchini’s Market provides old-fashioned full service and a commitment to supporting local farmers, ranchers, and growers. The Roberts Market is a purveyor of the finest deli, produce, and meats. It offers regular wine tastings, as well as standard "general store" merchandise, including chicken coops, horse care products, muck boots, and organic gardening supplies.

Two excellent private swim and tennis clubs offer membership and ongoing social activity. Ladera Oaks and Alpine Hills offer tennis and swim instruction, clinics, and competitions for juniors and adults. Fitness centers and other amenities make family activities wonderful memories for multiple generations of residents.
